Fatimas Story
Imagine being able to see as a child but then having that sight slowly fade away due to disease. Life goes on. You marry but never see his face. You have four children but never know their beauty. You accept that you will live and die blind. At 36, this was Fatima from Nigeria’s story. Now, thanks to an eye care outreach supported by Sightsavers, Fatima’s sight has been restored in both eyes. She can see her husband and beautiful children and actively care for them.
