Babul Miah is eight years old. He has been blind since birth and lives with his family in Narsinghdi District, Bangladesh. Even though Babul's family home is just a five minute walk from the local school, for years Babul could only dream of attending. However, he was fortunate enough to be identified by Sightsavers' partner Assistance for Blind Children and is now able to attend the Purba Sayed Nagar School where he is very happy and has many friends. Babul's best friend is Shaikut pictured above with Babul.
Babul is very musical and loves to sing.
