Highlights from our projects
Sightsavers has successfully advocated for the Directorates of Secondary, Higher and Primary Education and the National Academy for Primary Education (NAPE) to accept the fact that they need to make education accessible for children with disabilities. NAPE has invited Sightsavers and our partner CDD to participate in an education fair in January 2012.
Sightsavers in Bangladesh has developed a documentary about low vision. This will be used as an educational tool, as well as awareness raising and advocacy.
Our Vision Bangladesh project has started, in partnership with the NGO Building Resources across Communities (BRAC). It has already achieved over 9,000 cataract surgeries.
