Saving sight in The Gambia
Sightsavers’ Grace O’Brien visited Africa’s smallest country, The Gambia, to see Sightsavers’ sight-saving work firsthand. The first thing that hit me as soon as I arrived through the colour and chaos of Banjul airport was the magnitude of the poverty in clear sight everywhere I looked. In the days that followed I had the chance to learn more about this beautiful West African country and the Gambian people who benefit from the help of Sightsavers’ generous supporters.
