At Work

Don't forget your work colleagues. Again ask the most generous people first to set the standard for everyone else.

Ask your boss - many companies will match the amount you raise euro for euro from their charity fund (and it's a tax benefit for them too).

See if your company would be prepared to add your web address to its public website or private intranet. Many companies like to promote the charitable and public-spirited efforts of their staff and you could get a lot of extra donations from this.

You could even organise the event through work and encourage other colleagues to join in.
