Winners 2011
Over 5,000 children from more than 200 schools around Ireland picked up their paintbrushes to depict ‘My Vision of The Future' for the biggest Sightsavers Junior Painter Awards yet!
We finally managed to narrow all the entries down to 12 regional winners, 1 special needs winner and 3 commendation winners. There was such a variety of paintings including ‘Living in my Flying Fantasy House', ‘Polar BARE!', ‘Pigs & Dogs Will Fly' and ‘Peace in the World'.
Winners will be invited to an Awards Ceremony in the Botanic Gardens, Dublin in February and each of the regional winners will receive a €100 gift voucher for themselves and their class and will be in with a chance to win a mega arts & crafts hamper worth €500 from the Art & Hobby Shop!
The winning paintings will be displayed in an exhibition in the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin in February 2012 where the overall category winners will be announced.
