80 year old Ibrahim Kamara, who was identified as having cataracts in his eyes at a screening in Sierra Leone
Good News for Sierra Leone in 2011
We’ve made this film to show the difference our supporters are making in Sierra Leone, where we have been working since the 1950s. One of the poorest countries in the word, Sierra Leone faces a huge shortage of health workers meaning many people are at risk from going blind as they can’t get treatment.
Whether you have donated five pounds, run a marathon for Sightsavers or are a long standing corporate supporter, your money could have been spent in this West African country, preventing blindness and helping people whose sight can’t be saved. We’d like to thank each and every person who has donated time or money to Sightsavers, and hope you enjoy the film!
