Economic independence of people with disabilities

This review aims to draw together existing evidence on the effects of interventions designed to improve the labour market situation for adults with physical and/or sensory disabilities in low and middle income countries.

Drawing on primary data, academic analysis and practitioner commentaries, it describes the range, diversity and impact of interventions undertaken across a range of countries between 1990 and 2013. These interventions are a key way of achieving the goal of a socially inclusive society, where all individuals and groups are able to claim and exercise their rights and responsibilities. Published May 2016.
